Sorry to be so behind! OK. It's official. Tullis and Jane love to swim. There new favorite activity is to go the the Rec Center in the afternoon and "ride the slide". Guess they really do miss their pool, but lucky them in that this one has lots more bells and whistles!! They went Tues and Thurs afternoon last week with a hike thrown in the middle on Wed. Unfortunately there are no pics from the hike as the weather turned ugly and it actually hailed on my babies!! Here are some Rec Center shots...
On Friday morning the kids had a "fun" meet at the Rec Center. I won't bore you with swimming videos, but suffice it to say they both did great! Tullis swam 7/8 (we were a little confused here having always thought you took an age snapshot at the beginning of the season and he just turned 7 on 7/2) and against two 8 yr olds and the rest 7 yr olds he took home a 2nd and three 3rds!! Jane swam 6 and under (she will be 6 8/28) and took home 4 blue ribbons! She was excited as she was very nervous.

Proud Swimmers (Competed in Free, Back, Breast and Butterfly!) |
After the meet we drove to Hamilton, MT to visit Mama and Daddy for the weekend. We had a wonderful time and they really have found a beautiful spot out here. We are headed back in August for another long weekend. The only shot we didn't get and really wanted was of the deer that come to visit every night. Helps that Dad puts out corn for them!! They love it!

Cabin #3. They call it home in the summers! |
Last, but not least, my geese. I have now seen as many as 17 in the yard at one time. Am looking at them now.
Oh...and we have "Mud Dobber Birds"? I mean in NOLA we have Mud Dobbers, but birds? Can't remember if I have mentioned them before, but here they are building a nest made of mud on the side of the house. Gotta get rid of these guys. They are pooping on the window and messing with my view!
And hummingbirds!
Thanks for staying with the blog!! This week is looking pretty quiet, but I will take Maria's advice and put up a quick post with "Nothing to report!" rather than making some of you guess!
