Eventful Few Days!

I last posted on Thursday of last week.  Friday was fairly uneventful, but things were quite busy between Friday and yesterday.  On Saturday morning we met a friend of Peter Gambel's, Scott Williams, for breakfast at Nora's.  Really nice guy who moved out here with his wife and daughter from Chicago about 4 years ago.  He has gotten very involved and will hopefully end up a friend as well as a great resource!  Christian went on a bike ride with Chopper in the afternoon and we ended up joining he and Lynn with some friends of theirs for dinner at Cascade.  Dinner of course made us late for EMMA!!  Yes...you read that right! Saturday night we picked up Emma and Margaret Bossier at the airport as Emma is going to camp (Moondance) out here for 2 1/2 weeks.  As their hotel turned out not to be satisfactory we got our way and picked them up Sunday morning to come stay with us!  After re-settling in here we headed to town to do some shopping and lunch.

As Emma and I crossed wires on how long they were staying for the drop off we had plans Sunday night.  Margaret got this cute shot of Emma teaching Jane the Cotton Eyed Joe in the driveway...and yes...those would be Jane's new "cowboy" boots!  You can't really tell, but she also has on a pink, rhinestone studded belt with this outfit!!

Sunday evening while Emma was converting Jane into a true Cowgirl we went on a float trip down the Snake River as guests of Dottie and John Charbonnet.  The entire party consisted of the the Charbonnets, Peggy and Jack LaBorde, Poco and Liz Sloss, Elizabeth Kelleher and us.  What a wonderful evening!!  again...my scenery shots don't do it justice, but here goes...

After the float Dottie treated us to a wonderful late supper back at their house.  Overall a really splendid evening!

Monday Christian dropped Margaret and Emma in town to do a little more shopping and we all met at the ice cream shop on the Square so we could take Emma to the airport to meet the rest of her group coming in.  She and Margaret got great Henna tattoos...

Emma's (on the left) stands for Happiness and Margaret's stands for Hope.  We will miss you Bossiers!!  But only until you get back here in a couple of weeks!!

After we got home from our airport runs we re-filled the Hummingbird feeder (raccoon took it down Sunday night) and look at the great video I got.  This is only a brief part of it.  I couldn't believe they would come feed with me so close...like 18-24 inches away!!  I had to email this one special to Granny last night cause I know how much she loves these little guys!

That's all for now.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.  And Leigh...it was 57 this am!!
