Storey, Anne Lynne and the boys came over to help us celebrate Christian's 45th birthday. The kids had a blast playing baseball in the yard and Storey and John were super sweet to our small ones.
Notice our mountains are missing? There are enough fires burning close by that a haze has settled over Jackson Hole. It was here when I got back last Wednesday and is just getting worse. I really hope it clears out before Janie and Charlie and Appy get here next week! Hope that happens cause they get the fires under control. We need some good, steady NOLA rain!

| The cake actually came out ok. Trick I have discovered is to melt the icing and pour it over the first layer of cake as it then soaks in. You can then place your top layer and icing as normal. Takes almost 2 cans of icing, but helps defeat the dryness. Please don't anyone comment that I should add applesauce or some such nonsense. We are talking birthday cake here! |
